83 of our senior Nursing Services students had a remarkable work based learning experience Friday. They were privileged to spend the day down at Valley Children's Hospital who, rolled out the red carpet for Duncan Polytechnical High School.

There were several doctors, surgeons, residents, psychologist, and nurses who took the time out of their busy days to come and perform mock interviews of our nursing services students. In addition to the interviews, our students visited and participated in patient simulation training at the Valley Children’s simulation laboratory.

When you think about the key outcomes and unique experiences of our program, Duncan’s work based learning experiences clinical work and work site visitations are one of the best examples of what makes us truly different and unique from other programs. Not only are these great experiences for our kids, they are truly putting us as a school out at the forefront of our community.
